Education - Overview

Education is the foundation of the nation and the education system in Nepal began with the establishment of Durbar High school in 1910 B.S. and Tri-Chandra College in 1975. In addition, education is a lifelong process which begins from the cradle and ends to the grave. 

Aadikavi Bhanubhakta campus was established in 2044 B.S. to provide higher education in this area. It is a QAA (Quality Assurance and Accreditation) certified college which has been an educational center equivalent to a research Centre.Department of Education has been formedto fulfil the objectives of education, enhance the overall academic prosperity of college, the society, the entire nation and overall the globe.

Our Faculty of Education Department has a glorious history. It started its initial program, i.e. one-year B.Ed. in 2053 B.S. majoring in math, English, and Nepali. Then after, it added its three years B.Ed. program in2056 B.S. in the same subjects and now it has been running four years' and semester wise bachelor-level programs.In addition, the commencement of the faculty of the semester-based Masters' degree in three different subjects which has beenrunning since 2064 B.S. has added many stones to the foundation of this department, college and the country.

Department Vision & Mission

We believe in action, result and quality education since its establishment. Over and above, our bona fide, student from B.Ed. Science Mr. Sandesh Adhikari (2074-2078 batch) has topped the entire faculty of Tribhuwan University securing 68.6 %. I would like to congratulate him along with other graduates with Bachelor's and Masters' degrees who have completed their level and passed the exam successfully, energetic faculty members and the entire college family for the efforts.

We are very happy to announce that our alumni have been serving around the nation and globe. We also believe in teamwork and professionalism and always motivate the students to learn eternal practical skills so that they can do it on their own.
